City Council Place 2:

  • Allison Inesta: 178 votes (36%)
  • Nathan Bryan: 313 votes (64%)

In a decisive conclusion to one of the most closely watched races of the election cycle, Nathan Bryan has reclaimed his seat on the Anna City Council with a commanding 64% of the vote in the Place 2 runoff—defeating Allison Inesta by a 28-point margin. While this was the narrowest margin of victory among this cycle’s winning candidates. It marks a significant political comeback for one of Anna’s most seasoned public servants.

Bryan’s victory ends a five-year absence from elected office, following his defeat in 2020. With this win, he embarks on a new three-year term that will bring his total council service to 11 years—making him the longest-serving councilmember in recent memory. This milestone surpasses the tenures of notable figures such as Lee Miller, who served for nine years, and Kevin Toten, who has so far served eight. Bryan’s return signals not just a continuation of his public service, but a reassertion of his influence in shaping Anna’s future during a time of unprecedented growth.

His opponent, local business owner and first-time candidate Allison Inesta, mounted a vigorous and well-organized campaign that earned significant support. Despite her loss, Inesta is widely seen as a rising political figure with strong community ties and a growing base—making her a potential contender in future elections. Her performance, particularly in the early round of voting, demonstrated that she is more than capable of competing in Anna’s evolving political landscape.

Bryan’s victory cements his status as a fixture in local governance. A relentless advocate for long-term infrastructure planning, he is expected to bring both experience and ambition back to the dais. With Anna at a critical crossroads, many hope that Bryan’s leadership will be pivotal in balancing development pressures, fiscal responsibility, and community values.

As he prepares to be sworn in once again, all eyes will be on how Bryan navigates a new political landscape filled with fresh faces and shifting alliances. His comeback may well define the next chapter of Anna’s political story.
