Anna, TX — Under the glow of Friday night lights and a packed Homecoming crowd, the Anna Coyotes delivered a statement win — dismantling Frisco Emerson 56–14 in front of thousands of fans at Coyote Stadium. From kickoff to the final whistle, Anna controlled every phase of the game, proving why they remain a contender in one of the toughest districts in Texas high school football.

Homecoming Under the Lights
Before the fireworks began on the field, the Coyotes faithful turned out in full force for Homecoming festivities. Clever Kamau and Daniela Morales were crowned Homecoming King and Queen, earning cheers from a roaring crowd that set the tone for an unforgettable night in Anna.
As the celebration carried into kickoff, the team fed off that energy — and never looked back.

All Gas, No Brakes
It didn’t take long for Anna to seize momentum. Just minutes into the first quarter, Ace Traylor broke through the coverage unit on a punt return, weaving his way 8 yards into the end zone to give the Coyotes an early 7–0 lead.
From there, quarterback Ziondre Williams took command of the offense, launching a 48-yard touchdown strike to #6 and following it up with an 88-yard bomb to Michael Kennedy, who burned past Emerson’s secondary for his first of three touchdowns on the night.
By the end of the first half, Anna led 21–0, and Coyote Stadium was rocking.

Off to the Races
Anna’s offense kept rolling — and never let up. Williams added a 10-yard touchdown pass to Kennedy and a 4-yard rushing touchdown before halftime, giving the Coyotes a commanding 35–0 lead at the break.
The second half became a showcase of balance and speed. Running back Pharell Brown scored twice — first on a 26-yard run, then a 50-yard sprint that brought fans to their feet. Williams and Kennedy connected for a 71-yard touchdown, their third of the night, sealing a strong performance for both players.
Defensively, Anna smothered Emerson from start to finish, forcing multiple turnovers and keeping the Mavericks off the scoreboard until late in the game.
When the dust settled, the Coyotes had secured a 56–14 victory — their most dominant performance of the season and a fitting way to close out Homecoming week.

What’s Next for the Coyotes
For Anna, one thing is clear: they’re hitting their stride at exactly the right time. Since their lone loss to Melissa, the Coyotes have shown no signs of slowing down — stacking statement wins and looking every bit like a playoff-ready team. Now sitting at 5–1 overall and 3–1 in district play, Anna has rebounded in dominant fashion, outscoring opponents by wide margins and showing few, if any, weaknesses down the stretch.
Next week brings another major challenge: a trip to face Prosper Walnut Grove, the current No. 1 seed in the district and one of the most explosive offenses in 5A Division II. The Coyotes, currently holding the No. 3 spot, will have the opportunity to shake up the playoff picture and make their strongest statement yet.
There’s also unfinished business between the two programs — Anna defeated Walnut Grove 55–41 last season in a thrilling shootout. A repeat of that performance could once again flip the district standings and remind everyone why the Coyotes remain one of the most dangerous teams in Texas high school football.
Every week, the Coyotes look more like a team built for a deep playoff run — poised, hungry, and ready for whatever the “District of Doom” throws their way next.
