Anna, TX — Another triple-digit day is in the forecast for Anna this week, but temperatures could finally begin trending downward by the weekend as slight rain chances return to the area.

Sunday is forecast to be sunny and hot with a high near 99 degrees. Heat index values could climb as high as 106, with south winds of 5 to 10 mph. Clear skies are expected Sunday night with a low around 77.

Monday will remain sunny with a high near 98 degrees, though heat index values could reach 105. South winds of 5 to 15 mph could produce gusts as high as 20 mph during the day and into Monday night.

Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures climbing to around 101 degrees. South winds of 10 to 15 mph could again gust as high as 20 mph before clear skies return Tuesday night with a low around 77.

Temperatures are forecast to begin falling Wednesday, with a high near 97 degrees and a low around 76. Thursday is expected to reach 97 before the overnight low falls to around 74.

A slight change arrives Friday, when a 20% chance of showers enters the forecast. Despite the rain chance, conditions are expected to remain sunny with a high near 95 degrees. Friday night could bring one of the coolest overnight temperatures in recent weeks, with a low around 71.

Saturday currently offers the biggest hint of relief, with a high near 91 degrees and another 20% chance of showers. If the forecast holds, Saturday would mark a roughly 10-degree drop from Tuesday’s high.
