Anna, TX — A noticeable change in Anna’s weather is expected over the coming week, with rain chances returning and temperatures gradually falling from the upper 90s Sunday to the low 80s by Saturday.

Sunday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 97 degrees. Heat index values could reach as high as 101, with south winds around 10 mph. Conditions begin changing Sunday night, when a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms enters the forecast, mainly after 1 a.m. The overnight low is expected to fall to around 73.

Rain chances continue into Monday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible early in the morning, followed by additional chances throughout the day. The chance of precipitation currently stands at 40%, though skies are expected to remain mostly sunny with a high near 93.

A slight chance of thunderstorms remains Monday evening before drier and cooler conditions settle in. Monday night is forecast to reach a low around 70, followed by a high near 90 Tuesday.

Tuesday night could bring one of the more noticeable changes of the week as temperatures fall to around 67 degrees. Mostly sunny conditions are expected during the day Tuesday before partly cloudy skies overnight.

Wednesday through Friday should remain relatively consistent, with highs in the low 90s and overnight temperatures in the upper 60s. Wednesday is forecast to reach 91 degrees, while Thursday and Friday are both expected to reach around 92.

Another change could arrive Saturday. Partly cloudy conditions and a 40% chance of rain are expected, with the high reaching only around 81 degrees and the overnight low falling to around 66.

If the forecast holds, Saturday’s high would be 16 degrees cooler than Sunday’s, bringing Anna its most substantial break from the late-summer heat in recent weeks.
