Frisco, TX — Under the lights at Ford Center at The Star, Anna delivered one of its most dominant performances of the season.
The Coyotes erupted for 49 first-half points Friday night and never gave Frisco Independence an opportunity to recover, rolling to a 70–14 victory on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice field and improving to 5–0.
Anna scored four touchdowns in the opening quarter, seven before halftime and 10 overall. The Coyotes led 28–7 after the first quarter, 49–7 at halftime and eventually stretched the margin to 56 points.
Quarterback Zephyr Kreye opened the scoring by connecting with Brayden “Brayy” Spinks for a 14-yard touchdown just minutes into the game.
Independence threatened to answer on its opening possession, driving as far as the Anna 13-yard line. The Coyotes’ defense held, however, eventually forcing a missed field goal.
Anna immediately made the Knights pay.
Juelz Carter broke loose for a 58-yard rushing touchdown, doubling the advantage to 14–0.
Independence responded late in the first quarter when quarterback Jack O’Connor connected with Simon Muraya for a 34-yard touchdown on fourth down, cutting Anna’s lead to 14–7.
That would be as close as it gets.
Kreye answered with another touchdown pass, finding Carter from 14 yards out for a 21–7 lead. After the Anna defense forced a punt, Spinks added his second score of the quarter, racing 37 yards into the end zone.
Anna led 28–7 after one quarter.

Coyotes Pour It On Before Halftime
The second quarter brought no relief for Independence.
Anna’s defense stopped the Knights on downs early in the period, with Zyier Franklin recording a sack that helped derail the possession.
Kreye then marched the offense down the field and capped the drive with a two-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Parker, stretching the lead to 35–7.
The Coyotes quickly got the football back.
Bradley Knight recovered an Independence fumble at the Knights’ 15-yard line. Kreye capitalized almost immediately, finding Chasyn Elder for a 15-yard touchdown.
It was Kreye’s fourth touchdown pass of the first half and pushed Anna’s advantage to 42–7.
After another Independence punt, Carter delivered another explosive play, breaking free for a 50-yard touchdown run.
Carter entered halftime with three touchdowns — two rushing and one receiving — while Kreye had thrown four.
Desmar Marroquin converted all seven of Anna’s first-half extra points.
By halftime, the Coyotes had turned the game into a 49–7 blowout.

Different Quarterback, Same Result
Independence capitalized on an Anna fumble early in the third quarter, converting the short field into a touchdown pass to Arjun Patel that made it 49–14.
It did little to slow Anna.
With Asher Tombrella behind center, the Coyotes responded with a drive to the Independence goal line. Facing fourth down from the 1, Tombrella connected with Rashad Moore for a touchdown.
Later in the quarter, Tombrella went deep, connecting with Henry Moore for a 61-yard touchdown and extending Anna’s lead to 63–14 entering the fourth.
The Coyotes added their 10th and final touchdown midway through the fourth when King Peoples broke free for a 29-yard rushing score.
Marroquin converted his 10th extra point of the night to make it 70–14.
That was the final.
Ten Touchdowns, 56-Point Margin
Anna’s scoring came from nearly everywhere.
Kreye threw four touchdown passes to four different players — Spinks, Carter, Parker and Elder.
Carter scored three times, breaking touchdown runs of 58 and 50 yards while also catching a 14-yard score. Spinks found the end zone both as a receiver and runner.
Tombrella added two touchdown passes in the second half, while Peoples supplied the final score.
The defense complemented the offensive explosion by repeatedly ending Independence possessions. Franklin recorded a sack, Knight recovered a fumble and the Coyotes forced multiple punts and turnovers on downs.
Anna went on a 42–0 run from the Knights’ first touchdown through halftime and ultimately scored 10 touchdowns in the 56-point victory.
It was a commanding showing on one of the area’s biggest stages, as Anna left Ford Center at The Star with a 70-point performance and its undefeated record intact.
The rout moves Anna to 5–0 on the season, while Frisco Independence falls to 2–3.
