Anna, TX — Rain chances will stick around for much of the week in Anna as temperatures gradually fall from the mid-90s to the low 80s, bringing a noticeably cooler finish to September and start to October.
Sunday will remain mostly sunny despite a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The high is expected to reach around 93 degrees, with south winds of 5 to 10 mph. Rain chances increase to 30% Sunday night as skies become mostly cloudy and temperatures fall to around 72.
Monday is expected to be mostly sunny and slightly warmer, with a high near 94 degrees and heat index values as high as 97. Partly cloudy conditions are expected Monday night with a low around 74.
Tuesday will remain warm, with partly sunny skies and a high near 94. South winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust as high as 25 mph. A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms returns Tuesday night as the low falls to around 74.
A more substantial change arrives Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms carry a 50% chance throughout the day as mostly cloudy skies hold the high near 87 degrees. Winds could also become gusty, with south winds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph. The 50% rain chance continues Wednesday night with a low around 71.
Thursday is expected to remain mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and a high near 83. Overnight temperatures could fall into the mid-60s, with a low around 66 and another 50% chance of rain.
Friday could bring the coolest afternoon of the week. A 50% chance of showers remains in the forecast under partly sunny skies, with a high near 80 degrees. Friday night carries a 40% chance of showers and a low around 64 — the coolest overnight temperature in the seven-day forecast.
Saturday rounds out the week with partly sunny skies, a 30% chance of showers and a high near 82 degrees. The overnight low is expected to be around 67.
The shift will be particularly noticeable late in the week. After highs around 94 degrees Monday and Tuesday, Anna could struggle to reach the low 80s by Thursday and Friday.
