Anna, Texas — Anna will get another taste of summer to begin the week before a late-week weather change brings rain chances and some of the coolest temperatures of the season so far.
Sunday will see increasing clouds with a high near 88 degrees. Winds from the south-southwest could gust as high as 25 mph before skies become mostly clear Sunday night.
Columbus Day will be sunny and similarly warm, with a high near 88. The warmest temperatures arrive Tuesday, when Anna is expected to reach 91 degrees under sunny skies. Wednesday remains warm with a high near 90, though clouds will begin to increase ahead of the approaching change in weather.
Rain chances return Wednesday night, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday marks the beginning of a substantial cooldown. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day, with rain chances reaching 50% and a high near 84. Another 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms continues Thursday night as temperatures fall into the mid-60s.
By Friday, temperatures are expected to struggle to reach the upper 70s. A 30% chance of showers remains during the day before conditions begin drying out.
The coolest weather arrives Saturday. Sunshine returns, but the high is expected to reach only around 72 degrees — nearly 20 degrees cooler than Tuesday’s forecast high. Saturday night temperatures could fall to around 51 degrees.
