Anna, TX — Mild temperatures and a mix of sun and clouds will carry Anna through much of the week before rain chances increase heading into Halloween weekend.

Sunday will begin with increasing clouds and a high near 81 degrees. Light southeast winds are expected to increase to around 5 to 10 mph during the afternoon. Skies will remain cloudy early Sunday evening before gradually clearing, with temperatures falling to around 57 degrees overnight.

Monday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 80 degrees. Clouds will increase again Monday night as temperatures fall to around 61. Tuesday will remain mild but somewhat cloudier, with partly sunny skies, a high near 80 and an overnight low around 60 degrees.

Temperatures will climb slightly Wednesday as mostly sunny skies return. The high is expected to reach around 83 degrees, followed by a partly cloudy night and a low near 63. Thursday will bring another high near 83 under mostly sunny skies before the week’s first measurable rain chance arrives Thursday night.

A 20% chance of showers is forecast Thursday night as skies become mostly cloudy. Rain chances increase Friday, with a 30% chance of showers during the day and a high near 78 degrees. The chance of rain rises to 40% Friday night, when temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-60s.

Halloween will bring the highest rain chance of the week. Saturday is currently forecast to be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and a high near 79 degrees. The National Weather Service says a late-week weather system could spread enough precipitation across North Texas to affect Halloween plans and other outdoor activities, though forecasters do not currently expect the entire period to be a washout.

Despite the increasing rain chances late in the week, temperatures will remain mild for late October. The National Weather Service expects above-normal temperatures through much of the week before readings move closer to typical late-October levels by next weekend.
